Who we are

Scan & Print is made by Wuxxu s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic. Our details are at the end of this page.

Your licence

The apps are licensed to you, not sold. You get them from the Microsoft Store or the App Store, and the store’s own licence terms apply: on Windows the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale, on Mac Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to the store’s terms; where they conflict, the store’s terms apply.

The apps include open-source components, such as NAPS2 and Tesseract in the Windows app, which come under their own licences.

Free and Pro

• Scan & Print is free to download and use. Some features need Pro; the app shows which before you buy.
• Pro is offered as a yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The store shows the price in your currency, with any tax, before you confirm.
• The yearly subscription renews automatically every year at the price the store then shows, until you cancel it. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
• Free trials and introductory prices, where the store offers them, apply to the first period only and only to eligible accounts, as decided by the store. A free trial becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel it before then.
• Lifetime Pro is a single payment and does not renew. Pro is bought separately on each platform: a purchase in the Windows app does not unlock the Mac app, and the other way round.
• We may change features or prices for future purchases. A change never takes away what you have already paid for in the current period.

Payments, receipts, cancellations and refunds

All payments go through the Microsoft Store or the App Store. The store takes the payment, sends receipts and invoices, manages payment methods and subscriptions, and decides refund requests under its own terms and the law. We have no access to your payment details and cannot issue refunds ourselves. Refunds, cancellations and receipts explains where to go for each.

Your scans

Your scans and documents are yours. The apps process them on your computer and never send them to us; the privacy policy explains what the apps do send. You are responsible for having the right to scan, copy and keep the documents you use with the apps, and for keeping backups of files that matter to you.

Fair use

• Do not use the apps or this website to break the law or to infringe the rights of others.
• Do not copy, sell or redistribute the apps, and do not try to get around Pro or the store’s licence check.
• Do not reverse engineer the apps, except where the law allows it regardless of this term.

Scanners and other services

Scan & Print works with scanners through their makers’ drivers and the scanning protocols built into Windows and macOS. We do not make the scanners or their drivers and cannot promise that every model works; the free version lets you check yours before you buy Pro. Some features rely on services run by others, such as the stores and, on Windows, the download of text-recognition languages.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make the apps reliable, but they and this website are provided as they are, without warranties beyond those the law requires. As far as the law allows, Wuxxu s.r.o. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for lost data, and our total liability for any claim about the apps is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the twelve months before the claim.

None of this limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights when digital content does not work as described.

Ending

You can stop using the apps at any time by uninstalling them; cancel any subscription in the store as well. If you seriously break these terms, your right to use the apps ends.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in its courts.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top. A change never takes away what you have already paid for.
